Nikki Jo Bernardini

Nikki Jo Bernardini, 37, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident on Route 18, Chartiers Township. She was born July 20, 1967, in Washington, a daughter of David Tilger of Hudson, N.C., and the late Patricia (Patty) Potts Tilger. Mrs. Bernardini was a member of Keystone Baptist Temple. She had been employed at Hilton Hotel in the housekeeping department. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge 22, had been a cheerleading coach at McGuffey High School and was a 1985 graduate of Trinity High School. On June 27, 1987, she married Robert Kevin Bernardini, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Justin Bernardini of Prosperity; a daughter, Melinda Bernardini of Claysville; a brother, David Tilger of Canonsburg; a half brother, William Potts of Washington; five sisters, Stacey Powell of Canonsburg, Kelly Tilger of Butler, Dana Phillips of Washington, Shannon Terrell of Castle Shannon and Yvonne Davidson of Grove City, Ohio; a half sister, Tonya Schramm of Shaler; and a granddaughter, Aaliyah Ryan McKinney. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, with the Rev. John B. Smith officiating.
