Stella F. Komorowski, 83, of Washington, formerly of Millvale, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, in the Humbert Lane Health Care Center, following a ten year illness.
She was born in McKees Rocks, on February 24, 1922, a daughter of Alexander and Stella Fonnal Szczepanski.
She had worked in distribution for GNC, Pittsburgh, prior to her retirement. Mrs. Komorowski was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Pittsburgh and had also attended St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church. Prior to her illness, she was very active in her church.
On August 20, 1949, she married Joseph W. Komorowski, who died on March 26, 2001.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph A. Komorowski and his wife, Stephanie, of Washington, and Regis Komorowski of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Debbie Higgins and her husband, Ray, of Washington; five grandchildren, Michael and Adam Komorowski, Lisa Potter, Jim Komorowski, Ray and Justin Higgins; and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by four brothers, Pete, Joe, Paul, and Anthony Szczepanski; and one sister, Mary Trudeau.
Friends of Stella F. Komorowski, 83, of Washington, formerly of Millvale, who died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, will be received on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14, 2005, at 10:00 am in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Thomas O’Neil celebrant.
