Sylvia Hazel Haught, 97, of Charleroi, died Friday, October 15, 2004, after a brief illness. She was born March 16, 1907, in Deemston Borough, a daughter of Louie P. and Sarah Jane Kiger Stillwell. Mrs. Haught was a homemaker. On April 27, 1974, she married Wilbur Carl Haught, who died April 14, 1993. Surviving are six grandchildren, Cheryl Blair, wife of the late Timothy L. Blair; Jodelle VanDernitte and husband, Joseph; Mary Ann Cooke and husband, Thomas; Cynthia Hurry and husband, Robert; Sheila Lambert and husband, Jerry; and Rudolph Propst and wife, Debbie; a sister, Mary Rogers of Washington; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces, including Betty Kramer; and a son-in-law, Vernon Propst. Deceased are a son, James Huber and his wife, Mary Ann; a daughter, June Propst; a brother, Warren Stillwell; and four sisters, Blanche Haley, Pearl Charlton, Elizabeth Emerson and Violet Deems.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
