Ida Marie Jenkins, 76, of Clarksville, formerly of Washington, died at 5 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2004, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, following a three-month illness. She was born September 4, 1928, in Washington, a daughter of Henry and Mary Dailey Whiteman. Mrs. Jenkins was a homemaker. On July 12, 1948, she married Carl Harland Jenkins Jr., who died March 17, 1997. Surviving are three sons, Richard Carl Jenkins of Clarksville, Timothy Sidney Jenkins of Washington and Larry Sherman Jenkins of Lone Pine; four sisters, Martha Kolano, Stella Whiteman and Hilda McVay, all of Washington, and Barbara Clemens of Claysville; six grandchildren, Richard Jr., Martha, Keith, Larry Jr. and Kevin Jenkins and Chrissy Jenkins Berry; and nine great-grandchildren.Deceased are a daughter, Donna Lee Jenkins; a brother, Charles Whiteman; and a sister, Ruth Cole.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 21, with Elder William Foflygen officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
