Mary Helen Jones

Mary Helen Jones, 75, of Washington, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in her residence. She was born November 14, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of Paul Raymond and Helen Eugenia Besancon Jones. After graduating from the University of North Carolina, she went to work for the Lucas County (Ohio) Family Court Center from 1958 until 1965 and then Pennsylvania Youth Development System from 1966 until 1980. She then became the executive director of Group Homes, Inc. for 19 � years, where she had a great impact on the homes� residents. She will always be remembered for her kindness to staff and residents alike. Ms. Jones was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and its choir, and Zonta International of Washington County. She enjoyed reading, concerts and theater. Several cousins survive. Deceased, in addition to her parents, is an uncle, Myrl Dunne, who resided in Toledo, Ohio. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25th, with Rev. Lois Swestyn officiating. Burial in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo, Ohio, will take place later in the week.
