She was born on June 26, 1940, in Canonsburg, PA, a daughter of William J. Sr. and Florence Ruth Alderson Bird. Mrs. Alberta was a homemaker, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Chartiers Houston High School. Surviving is her husband, Angelo F. Alberta, Sr.; a son, Angelo Alberta, Jr.; 2 brothers, Donald Lee Bird, Sr. of Houston, PA and Ralph E. Bird of Washington, PA; 2 sisters, Florence Ruth Wilson of Washington, PA and Gloria J. Bird of San Antonio, TX; deceased are 3 brothers, William J. Bird, Jr., Robert J. Bird and James E. Bird. Friends of Joyce Ann Alberta of Washington, PA, who died Friday, October 15, 2004, will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2004, with Father William Feeney as celebrant. Entombment will follow at the Washington Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations to be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
