Georgia M. Maze Elliott, 80, of Marianna, died Monday, November 22, 2004, in the Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington County on May 9, 1924, a daughter of Wendell Everette and Loretta L. Casto Phillips. She was a home maker and enjoyed playing cards and solving puzzles. Her first husband, Charles Roy Maze, was killed in action in World War II, her second husband, Arthur Glenn Elliott, died in 1984. Surviving are two sons, James R. “ Rick “ Elliott and his wife Sharon, of Washington, Terry Elliott of Lone Pine; four daughters, Quinnie “ Honey “ Harrison and her husband Frank, of Florida, Juanita “ Billie “ Mirante of Chicago, Glenda Sethman and her husband Harold of Millsboro, Sherry “ Suzy “ Rudnick and her husband Vincent of Marianna; eighteen grandchildren, Denice Foutz, Quinn Black, Rhonda Heasley, Edward White, Thomas Mirante, Katrina Wilk, Anna Delaney, Paula Enzerra, Amanda Sirochman, Lucas Maze, Jennifer Laurine, Brandy, Lacey, and Cherry Elliott, Tonya Ulanosky, Stephanie Holland, Chad Crile, and Leanna Yoho; twenty-one great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are a son, David G. Maze; two grandchildren, John Roy Henry, Melissa Mirante; and a brother, Robert William Phillips. Friends of Georgia M. Maze Elliott, 80, of Marianna, who died Monday, November 22, 2004, will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2004, at 11:00 am with Pastor Larry Deemer officiating. Interment will follow in West Union Cemetery, Sycamore.
