Louise Jenkins, 72, of Washington, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007, in Donnell House, following a two-year illness.
She was born December 2, 1934, in Washington, a daughter of Albert and Dola Bucannon Pounds.
Mrs. Jenkins was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, NASCAR, football, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Friendship Community Church.
On October 4, 1951, she married William E. Jenkins, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Carl (Renee) Jenkins and William (Dorothy) Jenkins; three daughters, Helen (Larry) Strawn, Debbie (Harry) Sampson, and Sandy (Keith) Freese, all of Washington; thirteen grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sons, Kenneth and Ricky Jenkins; two brothers, Harry Pounds and Albert Pounds, Jr.; and one sister, Marguerite Kaymeyer.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
