Hazel May Chapman

Member of Friendship Community Church. Hazel M. Chapman, 80, of Claysville, formerly of Washington, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2004, in Momma's House Personal Care Home, Claysville. She was born December 24, 1924, in Washington, a daughter of William S. and Erma Glover Simms. Mrs. Chapman was a member of Friendship Community Church, Washington. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed country music and picnics. On May 9, 1947, she married Charles A. Chapman, who died August 15, 2002. Surviving are a son, Leroy Bert Dinch of Daisytown; two brothers, William and Lester Simms, both of Washington; a sister, Marlene Marshall of Washington; and two grandchildren, Chris and Michelle Dinch, both of Daisytown. Deceased are a grandson, David Lee Dinch; two brothers, Jerry and Clinton Simms; and three sisters, Jennie Ramona Thomas, Anna Sheppard and Clara Mullins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 31. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
