Juanita H. Mounts

Juanita H. Mounts, 96, of Washington, died at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born July 10, 1910, in West Alexander, a daughter of Harry S. and Laura Gatten Anderson. Mrs. Mounts was a homemaker as well as a loving mother and friend. She enjoyed collecting ceramic dolls and especially cherished the company of her two Bichon Frize dogs, Ashley and Crissy, who will sadly miss her. Mrs. Mounts was the oldest living member of the Allison Avenue Church of Christ. On November 22, 1927, she married John Franklin Mounts, who died August 24, 1993. Surviving are two sons, John E. (Stephanie) Mounts of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Richard D. Mounts of Washington, who was her caregiver throughout the many years of her illness. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007, with Bob Davison officiating. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to Church of Christ, “Window of Vision” Building Fund, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, or to Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty-Four, PA 15330.
