Avella H.S. graduate was Little League coach Charles David Pattison, 30, of Wellsburg, W.Va., died at 10:25 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2004, in Henry Medical Center, Stockbridge, Ga. He was born September 17, 1973, in Washington, a son of Robert E. and Cherl R. Folkens Pattison of Avella. Mr. Pattison was a member of Wellsburg Christian Church. He was employed at Kinko's in Moon Township, where he was an account representative. Mr. Pattison was a 1992 graduate of Avella High School where he wrestled and played football, and was a 1994 graduate of Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He coached Little League baseball and wrestling in Avella and Brooke County, W.Va., and was a demolition derby participant. Mr. Pattison enjoyed hunting and fishing. On June 10, 2000, he married Amy Bieri, who survives. Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are two brothers, Robert Scott Pattison of Washington and Rod Edward Pattison of Wellsburg; and maternal grandfather, Charles McClellan of Washington. PATTISON - Friends of Charles David Pattison of Wellsburg, W.Va., who died Friday, April 30, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 9 until 10 a.m., the hour of services, Wednesday, May 5, in Wellsburg Christian Church, with the Rev. Tom Hess officiating. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
