Margaret M. Altieri

Member of Miraculous Medal Church Margaret M. Altieri, 93, of Meadow Lands, and a resident of Humbert Lane, Washington, died at 8:02 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2004, in Washington Hospital, following a two-year illness. She was born September 4, 1910, in Meadow Lands, a daughter of Michael and Catherine Kremple Malinak. Mrs. Altieri was a member of Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands and its Christian mothers and rosary society. She was a homemaker. In 1931, she married Dominic Carl Altieri Sr., who died April 24, 1990. Surviving are two sons, Michael Altieri and Dominic Altieri Jr., both of Meadow Lands; a daughter, Dolores Tagliaferi of LaPorte, Ind.; two sisters, Catherine Shinshasky and Mildred Kubacki, both of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren, Marie Kunselman, Michael P., Vincent, Dawn and Misty Altieri, Fred Tagliaferi and Pamela Boardman; and six great-grandchildren. Deceased are four brothers, John, Michael, Peter and George Malinak; and three sisters, Mary Kubacki, Anna Duke and Josephine Alderson. ALTIERI - Friends of Margaret M. Altieri of Meadow Lands and a resident of Humbert Lane, Washington, who died Thursday, May 6, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 10, in Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands, with the Rev. John O'Shea as celebrant. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
