Emma Jane Pendergast

Emma Jane Pendergast, 82, of Washington, died Friday, December 21, in the Washington Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Waynesburg on March 13, 1919 the daughter of Charles and Sylvia Shape Fordyce. She first worked as an Operator for Bell Telephone, later having provided Child and Senior Healthcare to several local families. On June 8, 1946 she married John E. Pendergast who died on December 12, 1987. Surviving are : three sons, John W., Brian, and Jan Pendergast; 4 daughters, Claire Roach, Joyce Skoczylas, Wendy Pendergast, Brenda Cage; and 12 Grandchildren as well as 1 great-grandchild. Preceeding her in death are a grandson, Michael Roach and a Brother, William Fordyce. Visitaion will be held at our Allison Ave. location on Sunday from 2-4,7-9 PM. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Washington Cemetery.
