Ella L. Cavanaugh

February 11, 1925 — December 21, 2001

Ella L. Cavanaugh,76, of Washington,died Friday, December 21 in Washington Hospital following a six month illness. She was born on February 11, 1925, the daughter of Floyd I. & Alice Bainer Courtwright. Having worked at Duncan Miller Glass and later Orbans Bakery, she later worked as a cashier at Jakes News Stand from which she retired. She was a member of The Arms Club, VFW # 927, and the Women of the Moose # 318, recieving the College of Regents Degree in 1972 which is the highest degree possible for Women of the Moose. On Oct. 4,1946 she married William W. Cavanaugh who survives. Also surviving are : Three sons, Michael F., William " Pat " , and Kevin J " K.J. " Cavanaugh, a daughter Susan M. Lucero, sister Marie Stebella, three grandchildren, Tiffany, Melissa Lucero and Nicholas Cavanaugh. She was preceeded in death by two brothers, Harold F. " Moats " and Floyd I " Cork " Courtwright Jr. and a sister Elizabeth " Biddy " Wilson. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-4,7-9 PM in our Allison Ave. location where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 AM Monday with Father Thomas O'Neill officiating, Entombment in Serentity Mausoleum at Washington Cemetery.
