Anna Marie Alterio Avolia

Anna Avolia,85, formerly of Mill Street died Sat. in the Washington County Health Center following a lengthy illness. She was born on Feb. 5, 1917 the daughter of Michael and Donato DeCarlo Alterio.She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Christian Mothers, and a charter member of Catholic Daughters.On Feb. 2,1935 she married January Avolia who died on May 31, 1066. Surviving are two sons; Dominic " Sonny " Avolia, James M. Avolia, a daughter Sara Lee Robison, Brother Patrick Alterio, sisters; Mary Alterio Mahramus, Edith Gisoni, and Dolores Abbondanza, 9 grandchildren; Ida Marie Brock, Sam Avolia, Russell Robison Jr., Jan Michael Avolia, Jan Henry Robison, Jason Avolia, Joe Avolia, Joe Robison, Jennifer Litton, ten great-grandchildren,and several nieces and nephews. She is preceeded in death by brothers, Dominic and Daniel Alterio and a sister Alveria Vargo. Visitation will be held at our Allison Avenue location on Monday 7-9, Tuesday 2-4,7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wed. 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, Father William Fenney celebrant,burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
