Evelyn Lucille Hackney

Evelyn L. Hackney died Tuesday January 29 in the Washington Hospital. She was born on November 1, 1932 in Green County the daughter of Charles and Effie Mae Iams Wood. She had worked as a cashier at Gabby Market and was a member of Amity United Methodist Church. On September 20, 1953 she married Raymond C. Hackney who died on April 15, 1995. Surviving are three sons ; William, Brian, and Bradley Hackney, three daughters ; Bonnie, Beverly, and Brenda Hackney, three brothers ; Ralph, Clyde, and Glenn Wood, a sister Elizabeth " Libby " Cox, sis grandchildren ; Michae, Justin, Cassie, Zachary, Kyle, and Breann Hackney, her step-mother Naomi Wood, two step-brothers; Lonnie and Robert Wood and a step-sister Nancy Fonsak. Visitaion will be held at our East Maiden Street location on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am and burial in Forest Lawn Gardens.
