Margaret J. (Peg) Kennedy, 66, of Washington, died Monday, June 20, 2005, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington, following a 21/2-year illness. She was born August 20, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of John R. and Emma L. McKinney Kennedy. Miss Kennedy was a records clerk for the state Department of Public Welfare, retiring after 30 years of service. She attended Faith United Presbyterian Church, Washington. She enjoyed her pets, playing trivia games and watching sports on television. Surviving are a brother, John R. Kennedy Jr. of Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Verna Crosier of Washington; and nieces and nephews, John Patrick and Mary Elizabeth Kennedy, both of Kentucky, William John Crosier of Washington and Brenda D. Gunderson of Cranberry.
Friends will be received from 9 until 11 a.m., the hour of service, Thursday, June 23, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Ed Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
