Betty Bernice Anderson

Betty Bernice Anderson, 81, of Washington, died on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Humbert Lane. She was born on April 27, 1926, in Washington, PA, a daughter of Earl and Delphia Harris Smith. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion. She enjoyed her grandchildren and cooking. On June 24, 1967, she married Alfred A. Anderson, who died on November 5, 2004. Surviving are a son, Larry (Sue) Lenhart, of Washington, PA; a daughter, Connie (Mike) Cain, of Washington, PA; 7 grandchildren, Stacey, Sherri, Joseph, Michelle, Chris, Matt and Steve; 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Deceased are 2 brothers, Ralph Smith and Earl Smith, Jr., and 2 sisters, Bertha Stimmell and Nancy Robinson. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fred McCloskey. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
