Harry M. Malik, Jr., 66, of Homosassa, Fl, died on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at his residence, after a lengthy illness. He was born on February 2, 1941, in Washington, PA, a son of Harry M. Sr., and Ida May Ansell Malik.
Mr. Malik worked for 25 years at Findlay Refractory as an operations manager.
Mr. Mailk was an active member of the Frazier Simplex Shooting Club, where he was involved in various shooting activities, which resulted in his induction to the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He was involved in scouting and was a long-time scout leader.
On June 13, 1975, in Winchester, VA, he married Jan Hemelrick, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 sons, Richard (Karen) Malik, of Wexford, PA and Jeffrey (Tracee) Malik, of Washington, PA; and 2 daughters, Kristi (Bill) Fonner, of Claysville, PA and Angela (Tommy) Malik, of Bethel, OH; and 7 grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
