Senior Citizens member enjoyed fishing, cooking
Sarah J. Watters, 85, of Washington, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007, in Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington, following a brief illness.
She was born August 16, 1922, in Delphine, a daughter of Louis and Ada Anderson.
For seven years, Mrs. Watters worked as a packer at Hazel Atlas.
She was a member of Senior Citizens of Claysville.
A good cook, Mrs. Watters enjoyed making Sunday dinners, and enjoyed fishing.
She was Baptist.
Her first husband, Jim Pester, is deceased.
Her second husband, Kenneth Watters, died December 18, 1981.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty (Robert) Stout of Washington; a stepdaughter, Mary Ann (Ross) Sprowls of East Lake, Ohio; two brothers, Raymond W. (Betty) Anderson of Prosperity and Floyd H. (Anna) Anderson of Claysville; a sister, Mary (George) Stillwagon of Washington; three grandchildren, Audrey Ann Stout, Linda Stout and April Stout; three stepgrandchildren, Steve Sprowls, Ross Sprowls Jr. and Michael Sprowls; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers; three sisters; and a half sister.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, with the Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
