Jiling Huang, 78, of Washington, died at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005, in Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was born September 28, 1926, in Changsha, China, a son of Shan and Yi Yun Zhao Huang. Mr. Huang was a high school and college graduate. He was a professor at Harbin Technical University in China for many years and a for two years at Michigan State Technological University in Houghton, Mich. Mr. Huang attended a Baptist church while living in China and Friendship Community Church in Washington. He was a member of National Central University Alumni Association in the United States and Beijing, China, and Association of Mechanical Engineers. On August 31, 1949, he married Boqun (Beth) Lin, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Mai Huang of Munster, Ind.; a brother, Eugene Huang of Houghton; and two grandchildren, Lituo and Cecillia Huang. Deceased are a brother, Diging Huang; and a sister, Sih Huang.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the hour of service, Saturday, June 4, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
