Charles Michael “Pap” Maloy, 78, of Washington, died Friday, May 23, 2008, in Washington County Health Center, following a three-year illness.
He was born August 24, 1929, in Washington, a son of Harry and Agnes Wisneski Maloy.
Mr. Maloy was a U.S. Army veteran and a steelworker at Jessop Steel for thirty-one years.
He was a founding member of Western PA. Bass Masters, a member of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 American Legion, Jessop Club and Moose Lodge.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, pool and cooking.
Mr. Maloy was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church.
On September 18, 1954, he married Caroline A. “Koopie” Mousourakis, who died September 6, 1994.
Surviving are a son, Charles M. Maloy II, of Washington; a sister, Grace Davis, of Washington; two grandchildren, Jodie L. Maloy and Michael Maloy; two great grandchildren, Jaelynn and Kameron; a niece, Dianne Bednarski; and and a nephew, Paul Davis.
Deceased are seven brothers, John, Frank, Harry, Tom, Jim, Art, and Richard Maloy; and two sisters, Sally and Deloris.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008, with Father Thomas D. O’Neil officiating. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum. Military rites will be accorded by Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 American Legion.
