Retired from Ace Reconditioning
Philip Anthony Stanish, 68, of Washington, died unexpectedly at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2003, in Washington Hospital.
He was born April 2, 1935, in Cherry Valley, a son of Walter E. and Dora Bertovich Stanish.
Mr. Stanish was a graduate of Union High School.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by Ace Reconditioning. Mr. Stanish served in the U.S. Air Force for four years in Africa and Germany.
He enjoyed fishing and watching sports on television.
On May 10, 1975, he married Constance Faye Reese, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Michael Stanish of Canonsburg; two stepsons, James Bebout Jr. and Michael Bebout Sr., both of Washington; four daughters, Becky Stanish, Darlene Matthews and Jeannie Mortimer, all of Texas, and Lori Kalaydjian of Manassas, Va.; a sister, Ann Louise Simmons of Monaca; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Walter and Joseph Stanish.
STANISH - Friends of Philip Anthony Stanish of Washington, who died Friday, April 18, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, with the Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating. Interment will be private.
