Joseph Oliverio

Joseph Oliverio, 81, of Washington, died on Sunday, July 6, 2003 in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born on August 3, 1921 in Holden County, West Virginia a son of William and Rose Tallerico Oliverio. Mr. Oliverio had attended Trinity High School and was retired having worked as a Crane Operator at Jessop Steel Corporation for more than 30 years. He is a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry, and house painting. On November 29, 1958 he married Catherine McKruit who survives. Also surviving are a son, Joseph William Oliverio of Louisville, Ohio; four daughters, Victoria Procter of Houston, Texas, Theresa Parisi of Rochester, New York, Patricia Huckabee of Columbia, South Carolina, and Donna Quail of Washington; two brothers, Anthony Oliverio of Phoenix, Arizona, and Thomas Oliverio of Palo Alto, California; two sisters, Catherine Biafore of Parma, Ohio, and Louise Oleski of Washington; ten Grandchildren, Amanda and David Procter, Theresa and Maria Oliverio, Kimberly, Katie, and Kristina Parisi, Gregory and Mary Huckabee, and Bradley Quail. Mr. Oliverio is preceded in death by; three brothers, Frank, Billy, and John Oliverio, and three sisters; Victoria Loria, Rose Chomiak, and an infant sister Louise. Friends will be received on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington,. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
