Edward Stanley Tutay, 91, of Washington, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, in Donnell House, following a brief illness.
He was born November 7, 1915, in Weirton, West Virginia, a son of Walter and Frances Tutay.
Mr. Tutay was a graduate of Trinity High School and Chicago School of Electricity. He worked as foreman in the electrical department of Jessop Steel for 45 years.
Mr. Tutay was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Jessop Bowling League at Alpine Lanes.
He enjoyed bowling, polka dancing, and being with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and had a citation catch in Lake Erie, a 29-½ inch Walleye.
Mr. Tutay loved his Jack Russell Terrier, Tu Tu.
His first wife, Hermene Mandich, is deceased.
On June 30, 1973, he married Olga Piechnik, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Atakay of Pittsburgh; two stepdaughters, Debbie (Robert) Abrams of Washington and Anita (Michael) Lehew of Prosperity; six grandchildren, Tamara Lehew, Destiny Lehew, Jessica Orban, Shawn Ruse, Kimmy Przystup and Michele Moore; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, John Tutay.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, with Father Kevin Poecking officiating. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
