Lucinda Ann Woods, 66, of Washington, died Thursday, May 24, 2007, in Donnell House following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 9, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of Paul Martin Jones and Ida Mae Todd Jones.
Mrs. Woods was a graduate of Washington High School, class of 1958, and of Washington Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked as a critical care nurse at the Washington Hospital for 12 years.
Mrs. Woods enjoyed genealogy, playing cards, attending local boys’ baseball games, and spending time with family. She volunteered at Citizens’ Library and was a member of National League of Nurses.
Her husband, Laurence Woods, is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Scot Palmer Woods of Washington; a daughter, Jennifer Ann Ullom of Washington; one brother, Arthur “Eddie” Jones of Los Angeles, California; two sisters, Alice Elaine Inks of Washington and Marilyn Louise Nelson of Wellsburg, West Virginia; and two grandchildren, Max Eric Ullom and Gwendolyn Shirley Ann Ullom.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Donnell House, c/o Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, or to Citizens’ Library, 55 South College Street, Washington, PA 15301. There will be no visitation on Monday, May 28th (Memorial Day).
