Effie Mae King, 77, of Girard, Ohio, formerly Washington and West
Alexander, died Wednesday, December 5, 2007.
She was born May 13, 1930, in Arden, a daughter of Walter J. and
Barbara
McCartney Fisher.
Mrs. King was a homemaker and once a member of Claysville American Legion
Auxiliary.
On October 9, 1948, she married Ray King, who died October 3, 1991.
Surviving are four sons, Gary Barnhart of Youngstown, Barry Lee King of
Waynesburg, Bryan King of North Carolina, and Ryan King of Waynesburg;
two daughters, Darlene Briant of Prosperity and Marion Greathouse of
Girard, Ohio; two brothers, Walter Fisher of Willowick, Ohio, and Matt Fisher of Washington; three
sisters, Elizabeth Multunas of Sturgeon, Ann Nordquist and Donna Allen,
both of Washington; 24 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Raymond King, Jr.; a granddaughter, Alina Rae
King: a brother Gene Fisher; and sisters, Harriott Chase and Josephine Duncan.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m.
Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd. 925 Allison Avenue,
Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December
10, 2007, with Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating. Burial will follow in
West Alexander Cemetery.
