Brockway, Hazel-Atlas glassworker Adele P. Kapis, 87, of Washington, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington. She was born November 5, 1915, in Bentleyville, a daughter of John and Frances Haniak Kapis. Miss Kapis was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church in Washington. She had been employed by Brockway Glass and Hazel-Atlas Glass Plant No. 2 as a packer selector. Surviving are a brother, Daniel Kapis of Canonsburg; a sister, Nellie Horency of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Kazimier Arthur Sr. and Joseph Kapis; and two sisters, Jean Frances and Pauline Kapis. KAPIS - Friends of Adele P. Kapis of Washington, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, who will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. There will be no visitation Sunday. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 21, in the funeral home, with Father John Mack officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity National Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, 605 Hewitt Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
