Joan G. Paul

Joan G. Paul, 71, of Washington died Saturday, April 12, 2003 in her home following a 1 ½ year illness. She was born on August 19, 1931 in Washington, the daughter of Faris A. and Blanche Hart Grandstaff. Mrs. Paul was a 1949 graduate of Washington High School, a 1952 graduate of Washington Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a staff nurse at Washington Hospital for 32 years prior to retirement in 1996. She was a member of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing Alumni. Mrs. Paul enjoyed working in her yard. On November 1, 1952 she married Thomas S. Paul who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey Alan Paul of Washington, two daughters; Cynthia Ann Pomorski of Erie and Linda Lee Paul of Eighty-Four, as well as five Grandchildren; Missy L. and Trisha M. Paul, Thomas A., Anthony P., and Catherine H. Pomorski. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Lynn Paul Waybright. Friends of Joan G. Paul, who died Saturday, April 12, 2003, will be received on Monday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA where services will be held on Tuesday, April 15 at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Lesley Shoup officiating, Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
