Martha J. Doman

Martha J. Doman, of Washington, died Friday, May 2, 2003 in Mercer following a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington on November 5, 1914 a daughter of George E. and Dora Wilson Strope. Mrs. Doman was a home maker. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Washington. and enjoyed sewing and knitting. On June 18, 1939 she married Lonnie T. Doman who died on March 5, 2001. Surviving are a son, Timothy P. Doman with whom she made her home; a daughter, Judith L. Croxton of York; two grandchildren, Pamela Croxton and Deborah Stratton; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Briggs is preceded in death by five brothers, Jehu, Benjiman, James, Orville, and Raymond Strope; six sisters, Mae Sheller, Evelyn Wolfe, Ruth Morris, Grace Mounts, Margaret and Dorothy Strope. Friends of Martha J. Doman, of Washington, who died on Friday, May 2, 2003 will be received on Sunday from 6 to 9 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301 where services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2003 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Roy R. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
