Mabel Marie Gray, 83, of Washington, died at 2:27 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2005, at her home, after a short illness. She was born in Marshall County, WV, on February 6, 1922, a daughter of Grant and Della Hillberry.
Mrs. Gray was a homemaker, and she was Protestant. She belonged to the Washington Eagles and enjoyed scrap booking and crafts.
On August 21, 1965 she married Samuel Elmer Gray, who died on February 21, 1996.
Surviving are 4 sons, Roger “Tickâ€쳌 Gray, Paul Gray and Elmer “Sonnyâ€쳌 Gray, all of Washington, and Clarence “Butchâ€쳌 Gray of Prosperity; 5 daughters, Kathy Garrett (Rick), Linda “Sisâ€쳌 Boyd (Don), Sarah “Margâ€쳌 Inghram, and Erma Yater (Charles), all of Washington, and Donna Wasnik (Bill), of Canonsburg; 3 brothers, Keith Hillberry of West Finley, Paul Hillberry of Sand Hill, WV and Grant “Buzâ€쳌 Hillberry of Wheeling, WV; 2 sisters, Dale Rhome and Caroline Gray, both of Sand Hill, WV; 28 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Frieda Toland; 2 great grandsons, Aaron Robinson and Andrew Boyd; 1 son, Rick Gray; 1 grandson, Kenny Gray; 3 sisters, Freda Daugherty, Dorcas Doman and Mary Lou Lilley; and 1 brother, Arthur Hillberry.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005. Burial will follow at the Amity Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
