Marguerite A. Urbany

Marguerite A. Urbany, 81, of Washington, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, in the Washington Hospital following a brief illness. She was born July 27, 1925, in Nemacolin, a daughter of Andrew and Catherine Janecko Orlosky. Mrs. Urbany graduated from Cumberland Township High School, Carmichaels, and Penn Commercial College then worked as a stenographer for Buckeye Coal Company for two years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, where she was active with the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Daughters of America, and a member of the Auxiliary of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion. On November 21, 1945, she married Ambrose Mark Urbany, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Mark (Gabriela) Urbany of Hickory; three daughters, Catherine (Stuart) Cook of Marlton, New Jersey, Helene (Ludwig) Brand, of Washington, and Lynn (Jeff) Lucatorto of McGaheysville, Virginia; a brother, Edward Orlosky, of Cleveland, Oho; two sisters, Mary Ringer of Newtown, Connecticut, and Louise Simkovic of Carmichaels; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Andrew and Frank Orlosky; and a sister, Helen Kormanik. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007, in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. The Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters will recite the rosary at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
