Supervising nurse at Washington Hospital
Ruth Foster (Abbie) Fidelman, 84, of Washington, died at 5:10 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2003, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born January 27, 1919, in East Montpelier, Vt., a daughter of George and Edith Netha Morse Foster.
Mrs. Fidelman was a graduate of Barre (Vt.) School of Nursing and worked at Washington Hospital as a supervising nurse.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington.
Mrs. Fidelman was a World War II veteran who served in Europe and Rhineland and onboard hospital ships.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and her family.
On November 10, 1945, she married Robert L. Fidelman, who is deceased.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Ann Strawn of Washington; and seven grandchildren, Steven, Cara, Jarrod and Abigail Strawn, Franklin Evans and Michael and Angelica Namit.
FIDELMAN - Friends of Ruth Foster (Abbie) Fidelman of Washington, who died Friday, April 25, 2003, will be received from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, in Trinity Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Karen B. Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
