Jeannie Carrie Peck, 72, of Washington, died at 8:29 a.m. Sunday, November 7, 2004, in Washington Hospital, following a two-year illness. She was born August 31, 1932, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Oscar and Filice Ruffo Peck. She was a registered nurse and had been employed for several years by John J. Kane Health System. She enjoyed playing the accordion and the organ. She was a graduate of Peabody High School, Pittsburgh, and Ohio Valley School of Nursing. Surviving are her companion of 40 years, Faye Henderson of Washington; two sons, Ralph E. George of Washington and Paul W. George of Small Grove, Ky.; a daughter, Patricia J. Beasley of Palm Bay, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son, Daniel George, who died in 1965.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, with the Rev. Michael McCormick officiating. Interment will be held in Finleyville Cemetery.
