Robert Allan (Bob) Ferri, 47, of Canonsburg, died at 6:10 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2004, in his home. He was born December 18, 1956, in Pittsburgh, a son of Katherine Ferri of Washington and the late Albert A. Ferri. Mr. Ferri was a chef. He worked at Hotel Webster Hall in Pittsburgh, the former Lou Kerry's in McMurray, and the former Monte Leon in Washington. He became a truck driver and drove for Dillie Motor Freight and later owned and operated his own truck. Mr. Ferri enjoyed spending time with his son, cooking and riding his Harley. He was a Peabody High School graduate. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Panama Canal Zone.Surviving are his grandmother, Anna Anesetti of Washington; a son, Robert Jerome (Robby) Ferri of Washington; a brother, Kenneth N. Ferri of Washington; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his former wife, Jerry N. Sumney of Washington; his former mother-in-law, Joyce A. Fletcher of Washington; three nephews, Dominic Ferri of Penn Hills, Brandon Ferri of Texas and Joseph Gilbert of West Virginia; and two nieces, Joy A. Wise of Washington and Samantha Gilbert of West Virginia. Deceased are a brother, Albert (Dennis) Ferri; and his maternal grandfather, Max Anesetti.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 10. Interment will be held in Washington Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Robert Jerome Ferri educational fund. Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion will conduct military rites graveside.
