John Edward Lattimore, 57, of Washington, died Sunday, November 7, 2004, in the Washington Hospital following a one year illness. He was born in Washington on March 21, 1947, a son of Velma Castor Lattimore of Washington and the late Louis Lattimore.
Mr. Lattimore was a graduate of Trinity High School and a graduate of Kentucky State University with a Sociology Degree. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Washington. He formerly had lived and worked in the York area. While in York, he worked as a Financial Advisor for several companies including Morgan Stanley and most recently, American Express. Also, he had attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Bible Tabernacle in the York area.
Mr. Lattimore was an avid sports fan.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons, Jon Tirus Lattimore of Washington and Adam Rashad Lattimore of St. Louis; a daughter, Ronke Renee Lattimore Tapp of Memphis, Tennessee; three brothers, Louis Calvin Lattimore of Washington, Jerry Robert Lattimore of Tacoma, Washington, and Albert Dennis Lattimore of Washington; three grandchildren, Tirus Elija Lee and Isiah Tanbe Lattimore, and Arkael Adom Jones.
Memorial services will be held for John Edward Lattimore, 57, of Washington, on Friday, November 12, 2004, at 7:00 pm in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Jerry R. Lattimore officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
