Mildred Florine Forrest, 93, of Washington, died at 12:20 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2004, in her home, following a two-month illness. She was born February 13, 1911, in Washington, a daughter of Sailor and Jennie Dalton Riggle. Mrs. Forrest was a homemaker and had been employed by the former Dunlevy's Market on North Main Street, Washington. During World War II, she had been employed at Jessop Steel. She was a Washington High School graduate. In 1948, she married Joseph Forrest Jr., who died April 15, 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jo Forrest at home; three nieces, Shirley Davis of Washington, Connie Metz of Radcliff, Ky., Bonnie McDole of Coral Gables, Fla.; and a nephew, James Riggle of Washington. Deceased are a brother, Jerry Riggle; and a sister, Opal Hayes.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, with pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will be held in Washington Cemetery.
