Head custodian at Joe Walker School
Robert Wilson Baker, 62, of Washington, died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, November 27, 2003, in his home, following a five-year illness.
He was born July 18, 1941, in Washington, a son of Roy W. and Grace Bennett Baker of Washington.
Mr. Baker was Presbyterian.
He was employed by McGuffey School District for 35 years, the last 18 of which he was head custodian at Joe Walker Elementary School.
He enjoyed woodworking.
Mr. Baker was a 1961 graduate of McGuffey High School and attended trade school in Johnstown for a year.
On December 10, 1988, he married Susan I. Zane, who survives.
Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Tina Marie Clemens of Washington; a brother, Joe Baker of Claysville; a sister, Maureen Baker of Claysville; a grandson, Scott Clemens Jr.; three nephews; and several aunts and uncles.
BAKER - Friends of Robert Wilson Baker of Washington, who died Thursday, November 27, 2003, will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 29, with the Rev. John Forbadussi officiating. Interment will follow in Buckingham Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to John F. Kennedy School.
