Grace Elizabeth Baldwin, 85, of Washington, died Monday, March 17, 2008, in Manor Care, McMurray, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 31, 1922, in Washington, a daughter of Jasper Delbert and Hattie Elizabeth McMullen Jones.
Mrs. Baldwin was a homemaker and member of Fourth United Presbyterian Church, Washington. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and various board games with her family members.
On November 17, 1939, she married Merle Edward Baldwin, who died December 15, 1984.
Surviving are a son, Merle L. (Vickie) Baldwin; two daughters, Joyce (William) Koeppelle and Virginia Baldwin-Winters; a sister Virginia Walker, all of Washington; four grandchildren, William (Jalea) Koeppelle, Rhonda Peacock, Davey (Joyce) and Chad (Kim) Winters; eight great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren, as well as one great-great grandchild.
Deceased are brothers, Oscar M. Jones and Harry Jones; five sisters, Bertha Emerick, Thelma Gshinsky, Orma Sample, Myrtle Pilgun and Ethel Jones; and a grandchild, Darla Koeppelle.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008, with Rev. Dr. Susan VandeKappelle officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
