Clara Jean Dorisio of Washington died at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington.
She was born October 3, 1937, in Washington, a daughter of Alphonse and Matilda Rotunda Dorisio.
Mrs. Dorisio was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and loved cooking, writing, music, competitive games, history and teaching.
She was a 1955 graduate of Washington High School and 1958 graduate of Washington Hospital School of Nursing.
A registered nurse, she worked in the emergency room of Washington Hospital, and West Penn Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital, both of Pittsburgh.
She also helped Bracken Burns with emergency response in Washington County.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Ellen Marchione and husband Joseph of Allison Park; a brother, Robert Dorisio and wife Jane of Wheeling, W.Va.; nieces and nephews Joseph Marchione and wife Kathy, Mary Cay Ricci and husband Enio, Carol Wolfhope and husband Scott, Andrew Dorisio and wife Emily and Michael Dorisio; great-nieces and nephews Christopher, Patrick, and Isabella Ricci and Sophia and Emma Dorisio; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be greatly missed by her dear friends, Rod and Jenny Hancher and Eleanor Field.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are grandparents Felix and Mary DeAngelis Dorisio and Frank and Clara Paletta Rotunda; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, with the Rev. William Feeney as celebrant. Private entombment will be held in Queen of Heaven Cemetery's mausoleum, Peters Township.
