Anthus Wishner Barlow

Anthus Wishner Barlow, 91, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, February 3, 2008, in the Gracious Living Personal Care Home, Pittsburgh, after having been in declining health for several years. She was born in Washington on November 17, 1916, a daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth LeSavage Wishner. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Barlow enjoyed cooking and baking. On June 26, 1937, she married Edward Barlow, who died on May 28, 1976. Surviving are a son, Edward Charles Barlow of Monrovia, California; a daughter Pamela Joy ( Peter ) Cole, of Pittsburgh; a brother Charles Wishner of Woodland Hills, California; a sister Martha Huggins of Washington; five grandchildren, Diana Lynn Neilson, Kathleen Ann Barlow, Edward Andrew Barlow, Melissa Leigh Cole, and Lindsay Catherine Cole; as well as six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother Brennan Wishner and two sisters, Neel Smith and Joanna Dorian. Friends of Anthus Wishner Barlow, 91, formerly of Washington, who died Saturday, February 3, 2008, will be received on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes,Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where a blessing service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at 10:00 AM. Internment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. The family is requesting memorial donations be made to: Celtic Hospice Care, 231 Crowe Avenue, Box 1179, Mars, PA 16046-1179.
