Roland A. Taggart

Roland A. Taggart, 67, of Streetsboro, Ohio, formerly of Washington, died Monday Nov. 1, 2004 at Akron City Hospital Akron, Ohio. He was born Sept. 22, 1937 in Washington, Pa. to the late Alvin & Wilda Allison Taggart. He had lived in Streetsboro since 1956 and retired 2003 from the Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills after 46 yrs. of service. He was active for many years in youth & High School wrestling and was a 1955 Trinity High School Graduate. Survivors include his wife of 45 yrs. Mary Elizabeth "Libby" (Ritchey) Taggart, sons Thomas Taggart of Gunnison, Colorado & William (Christine) Taggart of Suffield, Conn. Daughter JoEllen (Bob) Rice of Tucson, AZ. Grandchildren Alicia, Thomas & Daniel. Brothers Eugene (Eleanor) Taggart of Burgettstown, Pa., Halden (Robbie) Taggart of Hickory, Pa. and A. Duane (Shirley) Taggart of Washington, Pa. Mother-in-law Ellen Ritchey of West Middletown, Pa. and brother in law and best friend James (Twila) Ritchey of Washington, Pa. His sister Floradale Gray died previously. Friends of Roland A. Taggart, 67, of Streetsboro, Ohio, formerly of Washington, will be received from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 at Shorts Funeral Homes, Inc. Streetsboro, Ohio and 4-7 PM Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 with Rev. John Mark Scott officiating. Burial will follow in West Middletown Cemetery, West Middletown, Pa.
