Geraldine Frye Martin, 73, of Washington, died at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005, in Washington Hospital, following a two-year illness. She was born February 27, 1932, in Whiteley Township, a daughter of George and Georgia Rhodes Frye. Mrs. Martin attended Friendship Community Church and enjoyed flea markets. She had been employed as a waitress at Brothers Pizza and as a cook at Thomas Campbell Apartments. She was formerly married for 371/2 years to Lawrence Martin. Surviving are a son, Dennis Martin of Washington; two daughters, Kathleen Martin of Beaver Falls and Barbara Martin of Erie; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, James Randall Martin; and two brothers, Theodore and Luther Frye.
Private services will be held Friday, followed by burial in Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
