Leona Madge Loughman

Leona Madge Loughman,75, formerly of South Franklin Township, died Monday, March 29, 2004 in the Washington County Health Center. She had been ill for about a month. She was born in Bitner on January 7, 1927, a daughter of Harry and Edna Nicklow Fosbrink. Mrs. Loughman graduated from Trinity High School as well as Penn Commercial. She worked for more than 25 years in the Physical Therapy Department at Washington Hospital prior to retirement. For many years she was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church and had most recently attended Fourth Presbyterian Church in Washington. On October 19, 1946, she married Merle S. Loughman who died on February 4, 1978.Surviving are three sons, Terry Loughman of Wheeling, Charles and Kenneth Loughman, both of Washington; a step-son, Richard Loughman of Tampa, Florida; a step-daughter, Betty Lou Prevett of Tampa, Florida; a brother, Harry Fosbrink of Connellsville; seven grandchildren, Steven, Brian, Dawn, Nicole, Zachary, Jessica, and Jared Loughman; and one step-grandchild, Adam Clutter. Preceding her in death is a sister, Loretta Jean Corteal. Friends of Leona Madge Loughman, 75, of Washington, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at a time to be announced.
