Julia Ruth (Judy) Ferguson, 82, of Washington, died Sunday, September 5, 2004, in her home. She was born June 20, 1922, in Lumberport, W.Va., a daughter of Isaac William and Susan Goodrich Ferguson. Miss Ferguson graduated from Weston High School and attended Seventh Day Adventist Church. She had been employed as a security guard at Molycorp, worked at Duncan-Miller Glass and had been a waitress at several area restaurants. She enjoyed country and western music and NASCAR racing. She was married twice, to Norman Bell and John Sten, who are deceased. Surviving are two sons, Robert Lee Sten of Arona and John Edgar Sten of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, Charles R. Ferguson of Washington and Harry J. Ferguson of Detroit, Mich.; five grandchildren, DarcL., Stacy L., Jacqueline S., Shawn and Meghan Sten; and a great-grandchild. Deceased are four brothers, George, Roy, Edward and William Ferguson; and two sisters, Edith Zelenka and Marge Bainbridge.
Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, Friday, September 10, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Kenneth Schott officiating.
