Josephine Rose Mancini, 89, of Washington, died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, in Greenery Skilled Nursing Home, Canonsburg.
She was born December 18, 1914, in Washington, a daughter of Angelo and Philomena DeLassio Scuvotti.
Mrs. Mancini was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington.
She was employed in retail by G.C. Murphy in Washington for 35 years.
On February 11, 1943, she married John Mancini, who died February 1, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Connie L. Spanjer, wife of Scott, of Denver, Colo., and Rita A. Mancini of Fairfield, Ohio; a sister, Eleanor Pantely of Washington; four grandchildren, Bonnie and Brain Spanjer, Shannon Alexander and Stephanie Kisabeth; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Carmen, Ernest and Michael Scuvotti; and two sisters, Mary Cobucci and Sarah Ward.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 11, with Pastor Andrew Cobucci officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray.
