Mary Consolmagno, 79, of Washington, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in Tandem Health Care, McMurray, following a brief illness.
She was born December 4, 1924, in Washington, a daughter of Nichola and Annuniziata Rota Consolmagno.
Miss Consolmagno was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
She was a graduate of Washington High School and was employed by the state Department of Welfare, retiring after many years of service.
Miss Consolmagno was a past member and officer of Victoria Lodge, a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas 1651, I.C. Friendship Club, NAIF, Monte Casino of McMurray, Ladies of the Elks 776 and Symphony South.
Surviving are a sister, Anne Christy of Houston; two nephews, Richard A. Christy and James Consolmagno; two nieces, Elaine Foglia and Candice Wood; and a great-niece and great-nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Miro and Anthony Consolmagno; a sister, Catherine Olson; and a great-nephew.
CONSOLMAGNO - Friends of Mary Consolmagno of Washington, who died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2004, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, with the Rev. Nicholas Spirko as celebrant. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Citizens Library, 55 South College Street, Washington, PA 25301.
