Donald Edwin Clutter Sr., 75, of Washington, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington, following a lengthy illness. He was born August 16, 1929, in Washington, a son of Lloyd George Clutter Sr. and Velma Higgins Clutter. Mr. Clutter, a graduate of Washington High School, was Protestant. He was a veteran of the Army, having served as a private during World War II. He earned World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal. Mr. Clutter was an inspector at Brockway Glass for 35 years. Following his retirement in April 1984, he was self-employed in home improvements. Surviving are a son, Donald Edwin Clutter Jr. of Washington; two daughters, Deborah Dawn Clutter Wright of Oklahoma and Nancy Ann Clutter Marley of McKees Rocks; two brothers, Lloyd George Clutter Jr. of Washington and Charles Thomas Clutter of Prosperity; two sisters, Mildred Irene Randazzo of Washington and Marilyn Noretta Hutter of Boardman, Ohio; five grandchildren, Robert W. Reedy, Carmella R. Reedy, Nicole Renee Wright, Justin Cody Wright and Tina L. Marley; two great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Linda Lee Reedy; and a brother, Robert Clutter.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18. Burial will follow in the veterans section of Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175.
