Catherine Elizabeth Cox, 95, of Washington, died Monday, October 29, 2007, in Humbert Lane, following a 6-month illness.
She was born October 13, 1912, in Bridgeville, a daughter of John William and Catherine Beierlein Flinn.
Mrs. Cox was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bingo, dances, and shopping at Wal-Mart.
On May 6, 1950, she married Eugene D. Cox, who survives.
Surviving also are a son, John R. Ullom, of Washington; two sisters, Jean Gamber and Eileen Richardson, both of Washington; a granddaughter, Teresa Louise Forbes; and 2 great grandchildren, Kylie Kathleen Forbes and Kaleb Alan Forbes.
Deceased are two husbands, James McCartney and Clarence Ullom; four sisters, Rita Eimer, Margaret Flinn, Dolores Kline and Anna Mae McCrerey; and a brother, John Edward Flinn.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2007, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, 320 Henderson Avenue, Washington, with Father Thomas D. O’Neil officiating. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
