Sean Franklin Currey, 34, of Canonsburg, died unexpectedly Friday, September 7, 2007, in Canonsburg Hospital.
He was born April 1, 1973, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Clyde Franklin and Mary Rota Currey of Waynesburg.
Mr. Currey was a graduate of Washington High School and Penn Commercial.
He was employed as a manager in the information services department of West Penn Allegheny Health System for ten years and performed stand-up comedy in the Pittsburgh Area.
He was a member of Saint Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, its Catholic Men's Club, and Knights of Columbus.
On September 21, 1991, he married Amy Florian, who survives. He and his wife were also married in St. Patrick's Church on April 15, 2006.
Also surviving are three children, Nicholas Currey, Ashley Currey and April Currey, all at home; and three brothers, Eddie Currey of Chambersburg, Brian Currey of Spartanburg, South Carolina; and Eric Currey of Washington.
Friends will be received 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg, with Father John Batykefer as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are being accepted for the Currey Children by Citizens Bank, Strabane Square, 331 Washington Road, Washington, PA 15301.
